Personal Injury
Personal injury is when you are injured as result of an accident. Motor vehicle accidents, motorcycle accidents, pedestrians hit by cars, and falls can lead to personal injury cases.
How do I get treatment after an injury?
Most car insurance plan provide an immediate account of money to pay for your care when you see your doctors. This is call Medpay and is separate from your health insurance. This can be available regardless of who was at fault for the injury.
Do I need a lawyer?
Typically a lawyer can be helpful in navigating the legal system and to assist in getting immediate medical treatment.
What is a lien?
A lien is a legal contract in which a doctor provides treatment for your injuries without immediate payment. Payment is collected when the case is settled in the future and paid to the treating parties. This allows the patient to avoid delays in care during legal delays. A lien is created with your lawyer and the treating doctor. You cannot seek treatment and just assume that the other party’s insurance will pay your bills.
Do you accept liens?
After discussing the personal injury case directly with your lawyer, I would consider this form of payment.
